Devenish Pitt Self Catering Holiday Cottages 

 

 DEVENISH PITT FARM is situated in the picturesque East Devon Coly Valley. A peaceful country setting four miles from the market town of Honiton and close to numerous coastal towns and villages.

The Banks family have farmed here since 1915 and the family run the sheep farm and riding school as a family business.

 Set in 260 acres of tranquil countryside visitors can enjoy breath-taking views across the valley. Visitors are welcome to freely roam the farm and enjoy the wonderful walks.

We have many farm animals and pets, willing volunteers can help feed and herd the sheep or groom and help look after our many friendly horses and ponies. Children with permission can even stay and help around while parents explore the area.

We Have two self-catering properties. Each is full of traditional character, oak-Beamed and featuring a high standard of quality and comfort. Each has three bedrooms and sleeps up to six. Visitors have the use of a large garden to relax in and enjoy the spectacular views.There is a parking space beside each property and additional parking close by.

THE STABLE COTTAGE

A superbly converted stone barn of over one hundred years old. Originally, this was a traditional barn where sheaves of corn were threshed. Later it was turned into stables for the working horses and now has been tastefully converted into this spacious cottage, oak-beamed throughout with own small garden. The cottage overlooks the main large stable court-yard where up to ten well behaved horses can be seen popping their heads over their doors. GROUND FLOOR:- Spacious lounge with pretty window seats; dining room with large polished oak table and chairs; utility room; toilet; breakfast room with table and chairs to sit in and enjoy the picturesque views across the valley; well-equipped kitchen. FIRST FLOOR:- Double room with en-suite bathroom including bath, shower, toilet and basin; twin room; bunk room with full size bunk beds; bathroom with bath, toilet and basin.

 THE FARM HOUSE WING

The attractive two hundred year old farm house has been split into two. Ground Floor:- Open plan with fully equipped kitchen; dining area; comfortable lounge with a beautiful inglenook fireplace that has an original bread oven in the wall.
First Floor:- Double room, overlooking a pretty walled garden, with en-suite bathroom with bath, shower, toilet and hand basin; bunk room with full size bunk beds again over looking the garden; spacious twin room looking out on to a stable yard with en-suite bathroom as above; shower room with two hand basins; toilet.

Both properties have central heating and fire places with wood burning stoves to keep warm and cosy even in the midst of winter. Comfort and convenience are uppermost with added extras such as washing machine, dishwasher, microwave and colour TV. All beds are complete with attractive bed linen and all bathrooms have shaver points. We are sorry that we cannot accept dogs.
